Why it's written this way

Garage door pricing gets compared against a two-hundred-dollar internet quote. The invoice has to show what the money bought.

Why show the safety check at zero?

Reversal and photo-eye tests are what make the door safe. Listing them free shows the visit covered safety, which cheap quotes skip.

Why separate springs from labor?

Spring type and cycle rating explain price differences between companies. Listing the part gives the customer a way to compare that isn't just the total.

Why exclude the door itself?

So this invoice can't be read as a warranty on the whole door. It bounds you to the repair.

Garage door work is lightly licensed, but the opener side carries a federal safety rule.

LicensingSome states require a contractor or home-improvement registration for garage door work above a dollar threshold; many don't license it at all.
