Privacy Policy

The short version: Stubsmith runs in your browser. Your estimates, invoices, receipts, client details, and business info are stored on your own device — we never see them. The only personal information we collect is an email address if you choose to join our Pro waitlist.

Who we are

Stubsmith is a product of GridHome Group LLC ("GHG," "we," "us"), a New York limited liability company. You can reach us through the contact page.

What we collect — and what we don't

Your documents stay on your device. Everything you enter into the Stubsmith generator — line items, prices, client names and addresses, your business profile, logos, signatures, and document history — is stored locally in your browser (localStorage). It is not transmitted to or stored on our servers. If you clear your browser data, it is gone; we cannot recover it because we never had it.

Waitlist email. If you sign up for the Stubsmith Pro waitlist, we collect the email address you provide so we can notify you when Pro launches. That is its only use. You can ask us to delete it at any time via the contact page.

AI features. If you use an AI-assisted feature (voice input, scope polish, item suggestions, translation), the relevant text or audio you submit is sent to our API to generate the result, then returned to your browser. We use it to fulfill your request, not to build profiles about you.

Basic analytics. We use privacy-respecting, cookie-free web analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to see aggregate page traffic — visits, country, browser type. This does not identify you personally and does not track you across other sites.

What we never do

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing.
We do not put advertising or ad trackers on Stubsmith.
We do not read, store, or analyze the contents of your estimates, invoices, or receipts.
We do not require an account, login, or credit card to use the free tool.

Payments on your documents

If you add a payment link (Stripe, Square, PayPal, etc.) to a document, that link is between you and your payment provider. Stubsmith does not process, hold, or take a cut of payments between you and your clients, and your payment provider's own privacy policy governs those transactions.

Service providers

We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run Stubsmith: Cloudflare (hosting, analytics, and API), an email service for waitlist notifications, and AI model providers to power the optional AI features. These providers process data only as needed to deliver the service.

Data retention

Waitlist emails are kept until Pro launches and a reasonable period afterward, or until you ask us to remove yours. Document data lives only on your device, under your control, for as long as your browser retains it.

Children

Stubsmith is a business tool intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you (which, in most cases, is at most an email address). To exercise any of these, use the contact page and we will respond promptly.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted on the site.
