Yes. You can create and export estimates, invoices and receipts in your browser without an account or a card. Stubsmith Pro is a planned paid tier for repeat-work features; it isn't taking payments yet.
No. The generator works without an account. An email is only needed if you join the Pro waitlist or contact us.
No watermark across the document and no ads. There is one line in the PDF footer that reads "Made with Stubsmith · stubsmithapp.com". On Pro you'll be able to replace that line with your own text — a license number, for example.
They're editable starting points, not market rates. The library saves you typing out common descriptions; the price on every line is yours to set. Stubsmith doesn't publish pricing guidance and your numbers are your own.
In your own browser, on your own device. Documents, client details, business info, logos and history are stored locally and are not automatically uploaded to GridHome Group servers. The AI features are the exception — that text is sent to be processed and a result returned.
Yes. Install it to your home screen and document creation and PDF export keep working without a signal. The AI features need a connection.
Because everything is stored locally, clearing browser data, using a private window, or moving to another device can remove your saved documents. The free tier keeps your last 10 documents on that device. Download the PDFs you need to keep.
Yes. Eight trades include dedicated line-item libraries, and Other / Custom lets you build documents for virtually any service or project. Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, general contracting, roofing, painting, landscaping and handyman each have their own library. Anything else — cleaning, detailing, tutoring, photography — uses a custom setup where you build your own items. You're responsible for making sure documents fit your business, tax and record-keeping requirements.
No. Stubsmith does not process, hold, transmit or guarantee payments. If you add a Stripe, Square, PayPal, Zelle, Venmo or bank link, that payment is between you, your client and your payment provider.
